I joined the military in 1978, and enjoyed a journey across many continents, until it was time to seek different adventures. That was way back in 1991. I then started my civvie career in Procurement & Supply, got a degree (MCIPS by examination), and worked my way up from Buyer to Procurement Manager, and ultimately EMEA Procurement Director.

I’ve done many things in my time, which included setting up a Boutique e-Procurement Consultancy from scratch, and with no budget or solution, which ultimately sold in Central Government, and had over £1 billion of spend under management, through to drafting a paper that led to one of the UK’s first ‘Scan for Safety’ outsourced solutions being implemented in an NHS Trust within 6 months from a standing start.

Yes, life has been interesting, with many challenges, that ultimately led to meeting Ivar Ingimarsson and the development of Ideas-Shared. At the time of writing in 2024, we continue our journey, focusing on helping the world overcome adversity, and take advantage of opportunity.
